The quiet winner of late summer: Jonathan Kuminga chose Minnesota's two-year, $12.4M prove-it deal (Y2 player option) over a bigger Lakers offer — and the front office did surgical cap work to fit him, trading Josh Green's $14.68M expiring plus cash to Utah for 2024 No. 10 pick Cody Williams and John Konchar, then waiving Konchar and stretching his $6.17M over three seasons to slide under the second-apron hard cap.
